RETURN OF THE LEGEND. It was an honour to have our national badminton legend, Datuk Foo Kok Keong at Nilai University yesterday for the opening ceremony of Nilai University Badminton Tournament (22nd - 26th August 2022). Present together at the event's ceremony was Group Managing Director, Nilai Resources Group Sdn Bhd, Datuk Gan Eng Hong.
This badminton tournament is organized by @NilaiUniversityBadmintonClub (NUBC) Datuk Foo Kok Keong was noted for his quickness and stamina. In 1991, he became the first Malaysian to reach the number 1 world ranking since the ranking system was implemented by the International Badminton Federation (IBF) in the 80's.He played for the Malaysian Thomas Cup (men's international) which defeated Indonesia for the world championship in 1992.
