Nilai University Strengthens International Ties Through Summer Mobility Programme with WFIT

Nilai University recently welcomed a group of students from the WeiFang Institute of Science and Technology (WFIT), China, led by three academic staff, for an enriching summer mobility programme from 22 to 29 July 2025. This marked their first educational visit to Malaysia and reflects Nilai University's ongoing commitment to fostering global collaboration through edutourism and cultural exchange.

It was a packed week, participants engaged in a diverse series of classes and workshops from spanning flight simulations and emergency rescue practised to whipping up wine and culinary demonstrations in the training kitchens. They also participated in interactive Bahasa Melayu and English classes alongside Nilai University students, allowing for cross-cultural communication and immersive language learning.

Beyond the classroom, the group explored local attractions in Nilai and Kuala Lumpur while sampling a variety of Malaysian cuisines. A heritage day trip to Melaka offered highlights such as visits to Dutch Square, Jonker Street, the Baba Nyonya Museum, and the Encore Melaka performance providing students with a deeper appreciation of Malaysia's rich cultural history.

The programme concluded with student-led social project presentations and a certificate ceremony to celebrate the friendships, experiences, and learning gained throughout the week.

We are happy to be a part of this meaningful cultural and academic exchange with WFIT. Programmes like this continue to bridge global understanding and provide stidents with the opportunity to grow, connect, and discover the world beyond their classrooms.
