Introduction

The Bachelor of Software Engineering (Honours) (Application Development) via ODL at Nilai University aims at preparing graduates with advanced knowledge and skills to deal with the organisation’s computing needs. The online mode enables students to study at their own pace, which is suitable for individuals with busy schedules. Students can choose the optimum number of credits to take each semester to suit their personal, work, and study commitments.

This programme aims to produce graduates who are skilled in the latest technologies and possess in-depth theoretical and practical experiences in designing, developing, and solving wide-ranging applications and system integration. Covers a wide range of topics, including programming languages, software development, databases, web development, algorithms, and networking for various platforms and industries.

Entry Requirements

STPM

A pass with minimum. Grade C in any two(2) subjects and a credit in SPM Additional Maths

OR

A pass in STPM (Science Stream) or its equivalent with a minimum grade of C (CGPA 2.00) in Mathematics subject and ONE (1) Science / ICT subject

A-Level

Science Stream
A pass with Grade D in Maths and one (1) Science/ ICT subject

OR

Non-Science Stream
A pass with Grade D in any two (2) subjects and a Grade C in SPM/O-Level Maths and Science, Technology or Engineering subjects

UEC A pass with 5B's including Additional Maths
Foundation/ Matriculation

A pass with min CGPA 2.0 and credit in SPM Additional Maths

Diploma in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Technology / Information System A pass with a minimum CGPA 2.5
Diploma in Science and Technology

A pass with a CGPA 2.75 and includes a rigorous internal assessment.

Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM)/Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) in Computing fields With a minimum CGPA of 2.50 subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board’s approval.
