Introduction

Entry Requirements

STPM/ Matriculation / Foundation or its equivalent

  • CGPA 2.50 and above

  • Credit in SPM (or its equivalent) in Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics, and any Science subject; or

  • Credit in Mathematics and any Science subject for international students

A - Level

  • Grade C in 3 subjects

  • 3 credits in SPM (or its equivalent) in Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics, and any Science subject; or

  • Credit in Mathematics and any Science subject for international students

UEC

  • Grade B in 5 subjects, including Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics, Science, and 2 other subjects; or

Any Diploma (Level 4 MQF)

(Credit transfer are allowed for Basic Medical Science/Behavioural Science)

  • CGPA 2.50 and above

  • 3 credits in SPM (or its equivalent) in Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics, and any Science subject; or

  • Credit in Mathematics and any Science subject for international student

Diploma in Nursing

(Credit transfer with a maximum allowance of 50% of the total required credits for graduation)

  • Registered with Nursing Board

  • 2 years of clinical working experience;

Health Requirements

All offers are subject to the students being certified by a medical practitioner as fit to be accepted into the programme within a month from commencement of the nursing programme and not having any of the following medical/physical conditions:

  • EPILEPSY
  • HEPATITIS B & C
  • TUBERCULOSIS (TB)
  • HIV & AIDS
  • MENTAL HEALTH DISORDERS
  • PHYSICAL OR IMPAIRED SENSES THAT HINDER DEXTERITY
  • COLOUR BLINDNESS
  • MEDICAL INSURANCE

Other qualifications which are not included in the Nursing Standard Programme by Lembaga Jururawat Malaysia (LJM) need to get approval from LJM and Nilai University Registrar.
