Senior Academician (Graduate School of Business/Graduate School of Education)

Responsibilities

  • Teaching and Curriculum Development:
    1. Designing and delivering advanced courses at graduate and postgraduate levels as allocated by the Head of Academic/Head of School.
    2. Contributing to curriculum development and updates to ensure relevance and alignment with industry trends.
  • Supervision and Mentoring:
    1. Supervising doctoral and master’s degree students and guiding them through their research and dissertation work.
    2. Providing guidance and mentoring to junior faculty members.
  • Administrative Leadership:
    1. Participating in decision-making processes and contributing to the overall administration of academic programs such as serving as internal examiner for proposal defend and viva voce.
    2. Taking on leadership toles within the academic department such as serving as program coordinator or on curriculum committees.
  • Research and Scholarship:
    1. Mentoring and advising Ph.D. students in their research projects.
    2. Seeking research funding and grants to support individual and collaborative projects.
    3. Conducting and publishing high-quality research in reputable academic journals.
  • Professional Development:
    1. Engaging in continuous professional development to stay current with developments in the management/education fields.
    2. Attending conferences, workshops, and seminars to share knowledge and network with other academics.
  • Quality Assurance:
    1. Ensuring the quality of educational programs and adherence to MQA accreditation standards.
    2. Participating in program reviews and assessments to improve the quality of teaching and learning.

 

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Doctorate (PhD) in Business Studies/ Administration/ Management, Education or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in teaching at the postgraduate levels for more than 2 years, with a focus on Management and Education courses.
  • Extensive experience as a Principal Supervisor for Ph.D. candidates in the field of Management and Education.
  • A track record of successful supervision and mentoring of doctoral students through to completion.
  • A strong and sustained record of research publication in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Evidence of contributions to the advancement of knowledge in the field of Management/Education through building a network of collaborations with other academics, professionals, and institution can be beneficial.
