Introduction

Software Engineering is the disipline of developing and maintaining software systems that behave reliably and efficiently, affordable and built to customers' specifications. It will always be a major tool to support the software development of all organizations regardless of the nature of business. Software Engineers are expected to develop systematic models and reliable techniques for producing high-quality software on time and within a budget. This programme aims to provide students with a solid foundation concept and the underlying principles of Software Engineering. It contains significantly more software related courses and places a greater emphasis on an understanding and experience of the software process. The programme equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to analyse, design, develop, testing and implement, evaluate, maintain and document a large scale software system.

Entry Requirements
 
STPM or equivalent 2Cs (NGMP 2.00) AND a credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM or Grade C in STPM
Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) Jayyid rank AND a credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM
UEC 5Bs including Additional Mathematics
Foundation / Matriculation Minimum CGPA 2.00 AND a credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM
Diploma in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Technology / Information System / Science and Technology / related field Minimum CGPA 2.50 AND a credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM. For candidates with CGPA below 2.50 but above 2.00 with credit in Additional Mathematics can be accepted subject to internal evaluation. 
ADTP Minimum CGPA 2.00
AUSMAT / SAM / SACEI  / HSC Minimum 50% in 5 subjects including Mathematics 
CPU / CIMP Minimum 50% in 6 subjects including Mathematics 
IB UK 24 marks in 6 subjects
