Overview & Introduction

With the majority of electrical devices having mechanical parts integrated with electronic components, mechatronics is set to lead the next wave of engineering technology. This internationally recognised diploma well prepares you for the job market by equipping you with the skills and knowledge to develop intelligent machines and advanced manufacturing systems.

Entry Requirements
Course Minimum Grade
SPM/O-level or equivalent 3 credits including Mathematics and a pass in English and Science

Pass in Physics (E&E only)

3Bs including a pass in English and Science

Graduates of this programme are qualified to continue into the 2nd or final year of a degree programme* with our reputable partner universities worldwide. Graduates will be recognised by the respective professional bodies in those countries and be eligible to register with the Board of Engineers and Institute of Engineers Malaysia.

* Duration of programme will vary accordingly to the university, country and area of specialization.

Industrial automation and robotics, as well as computer, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, petro-chemical and control engineering.

Professional Recognition

Professional bodies

Students who graduate from this programme and go on to complete degrees in various engineering specializations via accredited programmes in the UK or Australia, will be recognised by the respective professional bodies in those countries and be eligible to register with the Board of Engineers and Institute of Engineers, Malaysia.

As part of the syllabus, students will also participate in hands-on training sessions during factory and site visits.
