School of Hospitality and Tourism
About the School

Established in 1998, the Department of Hospitality was geared towards the enhancement of hospitality values in our students so that they will, in turn , be instrumental in making a difference in the fast-growing tourism and hospitality industry in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.  Elevated to the School of Hospitality and Tourism in 2004, the department continues in its commitment to this philosophy, which comes directly from our vision and mission, directing all our energies in producing hospitality graduates of calibre and potential through educational and vocational work force development.  The school strive to achieve this by guiding our students to succeed on their own strengths and beliefs; as we help them develop their own unique potential, using competition and team spirit as our vehicle.  The school believe that this will have a profound effect on each and every individual who passes through our hands and will make a difference and benefit the hospitality communities they may serve in.

Dear Student,

Thank you for visiting Nilai University’s School of Hospitality & Tourism. We are here to assist in your decision to undertake studies at diploma and degree levels.

There has never been a more opportune time to consider a career in the various fields of hospitality. This is why we have responded to the needs of the hospitality industry by offering the B.A. (Hons) in Business and Hospitality Management.

Our aim is to prepare well-rounded graduates for employment in hotel, tourism and services management positions in Malaysia and abroad. The programme focus on hotel operational skills, management practice in the tourism and hospitality industry and the skills needed for continued learning in a changing global business environment.

What attracts students to register with us, apart from the commitment to academic excellence, is the enthusiasm and friendliness of staff and students alike – and to this I attach the greatest of importance.
