Introduction
The Department of Electrical Engineering, with its dedicated staff, strives for pre-eminence in creating and disseminating new knowledge in the subject of electrical and electronics engineering. We provide a broad and stimulating environment in which students can explore your ideas.  They will also be provided with in-depth knowledge that would help them develop skills relevant to commerce and industry.
 
In addition to our Malaysian students, we welcome a significant group of international students.  We expect all to attain the highest possible standard and to have the right learning attitude throughout the course. We provide them with a lot of freedom and expect them to take a responsible attitude towards the programme. We hope they will enjoy their time with us at Nilai University and find “Engineering” as exciting as we do.

This programme is suitable for student who aspire to become an electrical/electronic engineer. To be successful engineering students must be analytical and creative, and have good grasp of mathematics and physics as these subjects hold the key to engineering. 
 
Engineers are the backbone of modern industrial society. From automobiles to airplanes, computers to smartphones, engineers are behind the multitude of devices that make life possible in the 21st century. Electronic and electrical engineers are employed in many industries, with the main areas being in electronics, IT, manufacturing, power, transport, construction and building services. Opportunities are also found in telecommunications, research and development, and petrochemicals. A graduate of this programme can register as a graduate member with the Board of Engineers (BEM) and the Institution of Engineers (IEM), before working towards achieving the Professional Engineer status.
